FC Barcelona Beat Madrid in El Clásico Cup Final with 10 men team

Barca Supercopa de espana winners 2025

In a thrilling 7 goal El Clásico final match, Barcelona secured a huge victory against Real Madrid winning 5-2 in the Supercopa de España final, despite being reduced to ten men after goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny’s red card in the 56th minute.

The match, held at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, started the game strong as Kylian Mbappe scored a goal within the first 5 minutes of the game by getting past Balde and putting it in the far corner as Madrid capitalize on Barcelona’s defensive lapse by a quick counter attack which has been one of the biggest areas of weakness for the Catalan side.

Barcelona’s First Half Domination

Despite the opening goal being scored by Real Madrid, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona showed why they have been one of the best attacking sides this season and why the have gone with this tactic of maintaining a high line despite some of its disadvantages as Barcelona went on to score 4 goals within the first half of the game bringing the score to 4-1. The goal scoring started for the Catalan side in the 21st minute with the 17 year old wonder kid Lamine Yamal as he received a brilliant through ball by Robert Lewandowski opening up Madrid’s defense and with just a cheeky placement of the ball, completely caught the Courtois off guard.

They scored their 2nd goal with a penalty which came from a harsh challenge on Gavi by Camavinga who karate kicked him, earning Barca the penalty and Robert Lewandowski easily found the net bringing the score to 2-1. The next goal would come just 3 minutes after as Jules Koundé sent a long ball to Raphinha who scored a beautiful header sending the crowd into a frenzy and Real Madrid’s Pain wouldn’t end there as in the last minutes of extra time Barca launched their last attack of the half and scored with a quick counter attack catching Madrid off guard as Balde made it 4-1.

Second Half Drama

The 2nd Half started great for Barcelona as they extended their lead by a brilliant solo run by Raphinha as he scored within the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half and got the lead to 5-1 and sealed the game or so it seemed until in the 56th where Barca’s keeper Wojciech Szczęsny’s got sent off as he tried to stop a dangerous attack from Mbappe and the game had suddenly turned on its head as Barca were down to 10 men and the freekick by Rodrigo was converted as the substitute keeper Iñaki Peña was unable to stop it as he smashed it into the top right corner making it 5-2 and a possibility of drawing before full time looked like a real possibility but despite being down to 10 men they showed their defensive defensive resilience and didn’t concede a single goal after the freekick and went on to lift the trophy as they got another big win against their main rivals Real Madrid whom they had beaten 4-0 in a previous La Liga fixture this season as the game ended 5-2.
